This is not your typical hourglass! This is a brand new curvy underbust called the Artemis. Lucy designed this as an answer for those who are too curvy for an hourglass corset, but don’t have the hips to fill out a Gemini corset.
It takes the favorites from both designs: a curvy ribcage that is so hard to find in the OTR world (but with improved pattern and less “bubbling†at the underbust), slightly higher back, high cut on the hip, moderate length, with a welt-seam construction from sturdy black cotton. It takes the favorites from both designs: a curvy ribcage that is so hard to find in the OTR world (but with improved pattern and less “bubbling†at the underbust), slightly higher back, high cut on the hip, moderate length, with a welt-seam construction from sturdy black cotton. This beauty accommodates an 8-inch rib spring and up to 12-inch high hip spring, for those who want that little bit extra.
This corset is True Corset label, under their “Kinnaird Ireland†specifications, which is of their highest construction and quality (superior to their Playgirl and Court Royal lines).
Measurements:
The Artemis underbust corsets generally accommodate ribcage ~8 inches larger than the waist, and hips ~12 inches larger than the waist. For instance, a size 24″ corset would fit someone with a ribcage circumference of 32″ and high hip of 36″. However, as a mass-produced garment there is a natural variation in these corsets so the proportions may not be exact in every corset.
Lengthwise, the standard length underbust corsets are approximately:
11 inches long in the center front.
9.5 inches long at the princess seam.
9 inches long at the side seam.
12.5 inches long at the center back.
Sizing:
It is generally advised that corsets are ordered approximately 4-6 inches (10-15 cm) smaller than your natural waist – however if you would like to have your size verified before purchase, you may fill out the measurement form onthis page. Please note that this sizing guide is only for the corsets sold on this website, and is not intended to replace a consultation (where external brands are discussed freely).
This corset contains two core layers of cotton twill, which is hardy, matte, and abrasion-resistant and fade-resistant – strong enough for daily wear, as long as the measurements are suited to your body!
All Artemis underbust corsets contain 20 spiral steel bones and 4 flat steel bones, plus a front fastening busk and back grommets/ laces.
see through dresses and lingerie comes with a front modesty placket and garter tabs, but no back modesty panel. However,boned floating modesty panels can be purchased separately.
Returns and Exchanges:
You have a full 30 days from the purchase date to “try out†the corset and you can return or exchange it as long as the corset does not have any stains, scents, or obvious signs of wear. Just fill out the exchange form, ship it back and I’ll give you a full refund (minus shipping; USPS takes that). discontinued products does not charge any restocking fee! After the 30 days are over, the corset will not be accepted for refund, but it is still under warranty for life – some wear is normal, but if something prematurely breaks fromnormaluse, your corset is still eligible for exchange.
